Naizam Sher Malik

I’m Naizam Sher Malik, a Principal Software Engineer with 8+ years of experience building scalable systems, cloud-native applications, and developer tooling. My work sits at the intersection of TypeScript, Node.js, Python, and AWS, where I design frameworks, SDKs, and microservices that make engineering more efficient and products more resilient. Right now, I’m leading engineering efforts at Nexus Financial Technologies (UK), where I built a framework on AWS CDK that simplifies connecting services and managing Lambda lifecycles across environments. I spend most of my time working with Next.js, TypeScript, Jest, and Puppeteer—shipping apps that are both well-tested and production-ready. On the side, I’ve been building developer-first tools such as: Genesis CLI – automates AWS account setup and CDK deployments. Jane SDK/CLI – ships reusable Next.js components (signup, RBAC, dashboards) with server actions and backend integration. Houdini SDK – a wrapper around AWS CDK to make infrastructure patterns reusable. JWT Ninja – a CLI for decoding, verifying, and fuzzing JWTs. Previously, I created SALP (South Asian Law Portal), a legal-tech SaaS platform where I handled everything end to end—data cleaning, search engine design (SOLR → Elasticsearch), AI summaries, and NLP features. That project taught me a lot about scaling search, building for real users, and presenting technical work in front of high-stakes audiences (including Supreme Court judges). Outside of pure coding, I’ve been experimenting with startups in fintech, sports-tech, and even Solana crypto (like Bull.Army). But at my core, I’m a developer—I enjoy solving problems with clean, scalable code, and I’m always hacking on ways to make systems more efficient for both engineers and end users.
